Valentine’s day is a time for giving love. However, we often celebrate our love by giving high calorie treats. Rather than tempting your loved one with chocolates and champagne this Valentine’s Day, consider a diet-friendly gift that is good for their health and waistline. Below are several gifts to celebrate weight loss and support your Valentine’s weight loss efforts and celebrate love without food.

1. Massage

If your valentine has been working hard to lose weight, a massage will be a wonderful gift. You can even take the romance up a notch and get a couples’ massage. However, if a professional massage is not in your budget, consider giving the massage yourself. You can get creative and invest in a few massage oils. This will ensure a sweet experience that is calorie free, good for their health, and more decadent than a box of chocolates.

2. Manicure/pedicure

Your valentine may enjoy a manicure and/or pedicure. Both men and women often enjoy this healthy indulgence. In fact, many spas specialize in offering services just for men. A men’s facial, special shave, or foot treatment may very well be appreciated.

3. Token of acknowledgement

If your valentine has been working hard to lose weight, he/she may really appreciate you noticing all of their efforts. So, this Valentine’s Day show them that you are proud of their hard work and give them a token of acknowledgment.  A bracelet or necklace with a special charm will likely do the job. Again, if this is not in your budget, write them a letter, poem, or a card acknowledging all of their hard work. This is sweeter and more long lasting than any piece of chocolate.

4. Lingerie

Sexy lingerie makes for a fun and creative Valentine’s gift idea for your sweetheart. If you or your partner does not care for lingerie, get some cozy soft pajamas, slippers, or a robe.

5. Roses

This may seem cliché, but no gift says, “I love you” like a bouquet of red roses. Whether you choose to give your valentine a single rose or a blossoming bouquet, your flower(s) are sure to impress this Valentine’s Day.
